Procedures to Protect Confidential Information

A fundamental element of safeguarding your confidential information is to provide protection against unauthorized access or use of this information. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal guidelines to guard your nonpublic personal information against unauthorized access or use. For example every time you log into your account we run a check on your web browser to help ensure your transactions are secure. Also we encrypt the data you provide to us over the internet. Our employees are subject to a corporate code of ethics and other policies that require maintaining the confidentiality of customer information.

We pride ourselves on providing you with information to better protect yourself against fraud and identity theft. Please refer to the “Fraud Prevention Center”, “Tips to Prevent Online Fraud” and “Tips to Safeguard Your Information” on this page.

Business customers may find these tips useful as well. In addition, here are a few more recommendations to help our business customers protect themselves from fraud:

Notify us immediately if you believe your Card or Personal Identification Number (PIN), or both, has been lost, stolen or used to complete a fraudulent transaction. These claims will be investigated and handled in accordance with our internal guidelines regarding reimbursement of fraudulent transactions. Business customers should notify the bank as soon as possible if you discover an unauthorized transaction on your business account as well. We will use all commercially reasonable means to help you resolve the matter.

If you need to report an unauthorized transaction, please call the number on the back of your card.
